Using this Help file
Structure
This Help file is structured according to the modular design of Qudos 3. There is a section for each module, plus additional sections on the General use of the software, and on Security matters. This structure can be seen by the navigation panel above. The section for each module is comprised as follows:
Overview
The Overview contains a brief summary of the module – what its role is in
management systems – how the major components work.
References
A summary of some of the most relevant compliance references.
These are typically clauses of standards.
The references are not definitive - they are by no means the only applicable or
relevant references either within the
named standards or elsewhere.
Components
Many of the forms and other components in the application have their own section
in this Help file. Their purpose and features are described.
Activities
These pages describe use of those forms and components mentioned above
in various "How to" sections.
Accessing this Help file
- From anywhere in the application: Select menu item ->Help ->Help to open the Contents page
- From many forms within the application: Press F1 key to open the Help file in a context-sensitive manner. You will be taken directly to the 'Components' section related to the form that currently has focus or is open on the screen. You may still navigate from that point to other places in the Help file by using the scroll bar, contents or other links. If the F1 key does not open the Help file in a context-sensitive manner, check your keyboard to ensure it is set to allow Function keys to operate.
Abbreviations
Qudos 3 is sometimes seen abbreviated as QS3.
