How to expand on a discussion item, or create multiple actions

Agenda/Discussion items are numbered with two digits after the decimal point e.g. 5.00. This allows you to enter sub-items and multiple action points for each of the main items.

For example, in a Sales Meeting - during discussion of item 5.00 European exports - it may be decided that separate marketing plans are needed for Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and the Mediterranean region. These may require action by 3 different people - perhaps with different time scales.

The neatest way to deal with this is go to the bottom of the agenda, and create item numbers 5.01, 5.02 and 5.03. In the example referred to, each of these items would be given their own name in the 'Agenda Item' field. However, this isn't compulsory - just the number is. When the Meeting Minutes form is saved and re-opened, the items will automatically be re-located to the correct place in the agenda - In this case, between items 5.00 and 6.00. The corresponding items will also appear in the minutes.

This method allow for up to 100 times the text entry space, and 100 action points to be raised for each main agenda / discussion item. Each action point may be used to generate a separate Action Form. In turn, each of these may be used to generate up to 99 related actions (each with its own form). Thus, in theory you could generate up to almost 10,000 (100 x 100) separately tracked actions for each main agenda item!
